Turnstile volunteers needed for the new season!

Our amazing band of volunteers have kept the show on the road since 2005, ensuring the turnstiles were open for business at Gigg Lane, Bower Fold, Tameside Stadium and of course Broadhurst Park. Many of our current volunteers were offering up their time in the hazy days of the first couple of years of FC and we’ve unfortunately lost a couple for the coming season due to health issues.

We really need your help next season to ensure the turnstiles are open and ready to greet both home and away supporters with a big FC United welcome. The friendly games provide the perfect opportunity to try out the role, with an expected smaller crowd allowing for time to find your feet.

Neil: “I volunteer at FC because I enjoy people. I like meeting people and at FC it's feels you are one of the family.”

Pat: “"What I like about volunteering on turnstiles is meeting fans as they arrive and often having a bit of banter with them.  It's a good feeling to be able to welcome visiting fans to our ground and be their first point of contact with our club. Also, the duties finish at kick-off, so you don't miss any of the match!"

We do not expect volunteers to offer up their time for every game, we are happy to be guided by your availability and rotas are planned several weeks in advance.
