Big Coat Day

FC United’s Big Coat Day has been a regular, and hugely popular, feature of the club’s community work since 2005 and down the years the club has worked with a number of charities to help those most in need in the Manchester area.

The initiative usually takes place around the festive period and encourages supporters to collect spare warm clothing, toiletries and other items so that it can be distributed to those who need it most – across the City and further afield. In previous years we have seen collections total almost 2000 warm winter coats, 604 pairs of walking shoes and winter boots, in addition to masses of new underwear, hats, gloves and scarves bought and donated by our members.

This year 2025 we are looking for donations of warm coats as we aim to make this the biggest collection we have had. To get involve and support this great cause, then please do get in contact with us.
