Supporters with Disabilities Meeting this Saturday at 1pm.

The next meeting for supporters with disabilities will take place on Saturday 11th February at 1pm in the Community Cabin at Broadhurst Park - All are welcome to attend.

FC United supporter Roy Williamson has arranged a meeting for supporters with disabilities at 1pm on Saturday 11th February prior to the Chorley match. The meeting will take place in the Community Cabin at Broadhurst Park

The meeting, will begin at 1pm and probably last for an hour. Notes will be taken so we can gain a thorough understanding of experiences and where we might make improvements. The notes will go to the board and subsequently members.

The meeting will discuss various topics around matchday experiences including: travel/car parking, reception, disabled areas in the ground, stewarding, facilities and any other issue that people feel is relevant.

Roy attended a Level Playing Field regional meeting this week so will feedback relevant information to the group. The aim is to set up a a formal Disabled Supporters Association. We will then be able to join with other disabled supporters groups across the country in promoting relevant issues. The cost of joining the LPF for a non- league club is twenty five pounds. The benefits to us in being able to share information will be invaluable.

Saturday’s meeting is an open invitation to supporters who have a disability, their helpers, family members, friends and anyone with an interest in this initiative.
