Commercial brochure launched for new season

FC United of Manchester is launching a new commercial brochure and we want supporters to be part of it.

The club is in the process of appointing a commercial manager who will take the lead on developing commercial partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising. Working in conjunction with the Commercial Committee, the manager will be tasked with key targets to hit, bringing in money to help develop our footballing ambitions on the pitch.

Until the commercial manager is appointed, an interim sales team is managing sponsorship and advertising opportunities. The team is made up of co-owners with sales and marketing experience including members of the Commercial Committee.

In addition, we want our supporters to be our ambassadors. Please consider talking to your employer or any friends and family who work for a business or community organisation who could become a partner to FC United.

Our new brochure will help – it outlines the benefits a business or community organisation would enjoy by partnering with FC United of Manchester.

This includes the number of people we reach globally via our social networks, together with the varied groups using Broadhurst Park every week, all year round, and our community principles.

The brochure also describes the wide range of opportunities available for sponsorship and advertising for the coming season, including two new packages: Digital Partner, and the FC United of Manchester Business Club.

As an added incentive, we will offer a prize to the first three supporters who introduce a business or organisation to the club leading to a signed deal of £500 or more.

They will each win a Match Day Dining Package for two people at a home match of their choice for the 2022/23 season, including a bottle of fizz as an additional thank you.

You can download the brochure here: FCUM_commercial_brochure_2022_23.pdf (fc-utd.co.uk) and email the details of any potential partners to commercial@fc-utd.uk.

In addition, you and your contacts can attend a Sponsors’ Evening at Broadhurst Park on July 7th to talk to our team direct about opportunities and sign up for any packages.

In the run-up to the General Meeting on June 23rd, co-owners will be able to read our business plan for the coming season which sets out the targets for our Commercial Manager and shows what we’ve budgeted for the Commercial area of the club.

Chair Adrian Seddon said: “We recognise that the club has long under-performed in securing sponsorship and advertising income.

“Supporters gave us a clear steer for our five-year vision around football success on the pitch, and to help fund that we are determined to make major improvements to our commercial performance.

“Our new management structure has helped provide a sharp focus on this.

“And, with a new Commercial Manager and Committee in place, together with a new brochure outlining a wide range of opportunities, we are confident we will start hitting targets.

“We want our supporters to be part of it and so we hope the added incentive for bringing in introductions and sales leads will encourage everyone to think about opportunities via their own networks.”

A further brochure focusing on Events & Hospitality at Broadhurst Park will be launched soon, with the club currently also recruiting for a manager in this area.

Note: in the Commercial Brochure, supporters may spot a couple of pictures of Phil Gough, a stalwart FC fan and volunteer programme seller who sadly passed away recently. The pictures of Phil appear with the approval of his children Ste and Joanne, who said he would have been very proud to be included in the brochure. Our thanks to Ste and Joanne at this sad time for them and their family.
