The fund gives out grants to community based projects and we have put forward a project for consideration.
Sport Development Manager Tom Conroy explained: “This funding will support the club in delivering active sport sessions in the new SMRE Development and strengthen our links further with the local community.
“Activities such as Yoga, Zumba, table tennis and light weight sessions will all be able to take place.
“The funding will cover the cost of external specialist coaches to deliver these sessions.
“It will also encourage people to use the new space and participate in active sessions, whether it be to have a healthier lifestyle or just something to participate in and socialise.”
These sessions would be open to all ages, backgrounds and skill levels and run free of charge, and if they prove successful could be carried on at a competitive level.
We can’t go ahead with this without your votes, so we need YOU, your friends and family to vote for us. Voting closes on Monday 19 November.
