Broadhurst Park to host F.C. United of Manchester Women home games

Broadhurst Park to host F.C. United of Manchester Women home games FC United is delighted to announce that from the beginning of the 2018/19 season, FC United of Manchester Women’s team will play all of their home games at Broadhurst Park.
Following on from their fantastic 2017/18 campaign, F.C. United Women will begin their new life in the North West Women’s Regional League Premier Division playing their home games in the iconic Broadhurst Park stadium.

The Women’s team have become one of the most ambitious and progressive teams in the region over the past two seasons and have managed to win back to back Manchester FA County Cups and this year that has been coupled with the North West Women’s Regional League South Division title to make it a double winning season, once again.

They are not stopping there either as on Sunday 13th May, they have the chance to complete a famous treble as they take on Premier division high flyers Stockport County LFC, in the NWWRFL Argyle Sports Cup final.

Head coach, Luke Podmore, said: "We have had a fantastic season so far and it can get better before it’s over. We have been working on this news for a while and this news will just take us to another level in terms of what we can offer firstly our own ambitious and talented players and secondly, the future players wanting to be a part of this wonderful project here at F.C. United of Manchester."

"It’s another huge attraction for the club and I think you will struggle to find a better facility/stadium to play your games in as a female player in this region. The commitment to this team from the club is so refreshing and we intend to use this news as a catalyst for more success in years to come. I am really excited about the future and where we can take this to."

The women’s team will be in the stadium a further two times, once in post-season (20th May) and once more in pre-season (15th July) playing in some fantastic friendlies before taking life up in there permanently, for the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
