LEAGUE RESTRUCTURE CONFIRMED

It has been confirmed that there will be 22 teams competing in the North West Counties League (NWCL) Division One next season with Nelson grabbing a promotion place alongside FC United and Flixton.

Cammell Laird, Skelmersdale United and Alsager Town have all been promoted to the Unibond, they will be replaced by the top three finishers in NWCL Division Two and no teams will be relegated from Division One or the Unibond.

Therefore the following teams will be in Division One next season:

Congleton Town
Curzon Ashton
FC United of Manchester
Flixton
Formby
Glossop NE
Maine Road
Nantwich Town
Nelson
Newcastle Town
Ramsbottom United

Silsden
Squires Gate
St Helens Town
Stone Dominoes
Trafford

The NWCL Division Two will consist of 19 teams again next year with three new teams being accepted into the league; Ashton Athletic, Bootle and Runcorn Linettes.
