Welcome and News

Yes dear friends, following a week where we went on the road for the first ever FCUM Radio Summer Proms, the radio team are now back doing what comes naturally to them, creating another week of quality musical entertainment for your listening pleasure.

But with one prom night under our belts and with Summer actually upon us, attention now shifts to the second prom night at the end of June, which we hope will be an even larger success for the club’s Development Fund.

On the first night itself, thanks to everyone who bought a CD (sometimes way above the asking price), those who generously donated in addition to the admission fee, and a special thanks to those who took part in the auction, especially the successful bidder Neil Boothman.

All the bands had a thoroughly good evening and all credit to them for playing for free and for being lovely. Below are their Myspace pages if anyone is interested in following up on their superb performances from the first prom. Thanks to Ste Wood and Stuart James for doing a bit of DJing, thanks to Swampy for his insightful compering, Producer Paul for broadcasting the event live on FCUM Radio, and thanks to The Retro Bar for giving us a sound engineer and the room for free.

So in closing, well played everyone, we hope you enjoy another week with FCUM Radio and look forward to seeing you all in the flesh once again at the end of June.
