DRAGON FOOTBALL ACADEMY MEN's 5ths 1 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'B' TEAM 3
FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’B’ team recorded only their second AoC Sport North West League Invitation (East) league victory of the 2018-2019 season with a hard-fought 3-1 away win against Dragon Football Academy Men’s 5ths in Reddish on Wednesday afternoon.
After going a goal down on 37 minutes, the Young Reds fought back to equalise midway through the second half, when TAWAB DJANKPATA took full advantage of the home keeper allowing the ball to slip through his hands to net from close range on 66 minutes.
Two minutes later, and the visitors went 2-1 up. Emmanuel Ujahchuku sent the ball over from the wing and MASON BEARD was on hand to apply the finishing touch from close range.
And in the second minute of time added on and TAWAB DJANKPATA made sure of the final result, firing in a fierce shot from the edge of the area, to make the full-time score 3-1.
FC United of Manchester Academy ’B’ team are back in action on Wednesday 16th January 2019 with another AoC league fixture, this time at home to AFC Fylde Men’s 4ths (Broadhurst Park 3G, KO 1 p.m.)
