FC United of Manchester Youth and Rochdale AFC Youth couldn’t be separated as the two teams played out a 3-3 draw in the National League u19 Alliance ’J’ Division on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon.

FC United had taken an early lead inside the opening two minutes. as DILLON KIRKMAN latched onto a long through ball from Mason Breeze before steering his shot past Liam Lovell in the visitors’ goal.

On 16 minutes, Rochdale AFC Youth drew level as NNAMADI EHIAGATOR netted from the edge of the area.

Worse was to follow for the home side on 25 minutes when the visitors took the lead. TYLER SMITH was allowed to run in unopposed at goal before sliding the ball past Tom Bamber.

FC United might have equalised on 37 minutes, but Dillon Kirkman’s effort hit the post, the first in a series of "near misses".

On 55 minutes, Niall Webb had the ball in the net, but his "goal" was flagged off for offside.

Two minutes later, FC United hit the post again, this time from an Abdul Muktadir free-kick.

And on 60 minutes, Sam Iwegbu had an effort saved right on the line by the Rochdale AFC Youth keeper.

But the FC United No. 9 wasn’t to be denied, and on 69 minutes, SAM IWEGBU was first to a Kane Stockley corner, sending a first time effort home through a crowded six yard box, to make it 2-2.

The visitors were by no means out of the game, however, and on 79 minutes, they regained the lead when CALLUM ORMROD forced the ball home from close range.

It was left to DILLON KIRKMAN to snatch a share of the spoils for FC United of Manchester Youth with a 90th minute free kick that found the back of the net via the crossbar after substitute Xavier Iwegbu had been fouled just outside the 18 yard area, making the final score 3-3.
