The Young Reds had to do it the hard way, with the visitors taking an early lead on 16 minutes when Chester FC captain CAIN NOBLE rifled the ball home via the crossbar.

On 25 minutes, it was 1-1 as ADAM O’GRADY slotted the ball home from the edge of the penalty area after Sam Iwegbu had seen his effort blocked by the Chester FC ’keeper.

On 38 minutes, the visitors retook the lead. CAIN NOBLE was allowed too much room and took full advantage to steer the ball past Tom Bamber.

Worse was to follow on 55 minutes. FC United conceded a needless penalty on the edge of the area and CAIN NOBLE made no mistake from the 12 yard spot to make it 3-1 to Chester.

And on 68 minutes, DILLON KIRKMAN grabbed a deserved equaliser, netting from a Robel Kesete cross from the right.
