Live music at the Len Johnson Allstars v FC Legends Game!

Lamin Touray, who's organising the game on Saturday as a fundraiser for the campaign to get a statue for Mancunian boxer Len Johnson*, was dead excited about the 'club night in the afternoon' thing he found when he came to Malcolmses recently to tell us about the match. As a result we're collaborating with him as he puts on quite a roster of artists ahead of the game, starting 12.30pm in our usual spot under the SMRE. (Don't forget it's a 2pm ko... Turnstiles open at noon).

We're looking forward to welcoming:

* multi-faceted vocalist Yemi Bolatiwa, fresh from the Manchester Jazz Festival and ahead of an appearance at August's Moovin Festival (more at https://soundcloud.com/yemi-bolatiwa),

* Meduulla, who's appeared on BBC Three's 'The Rap Game' (https://linktr.ee/meduulla).

Plus the party will continue with a range of other acts after the game up in the Main Bar until last orders at 5:30pm.

We're not doing the usual CYCM food, though you can look forward to some sweet treats from a glorious factory shop well known to many of you. And good news for those who've been missing his take on current affairs, that scourge of huckster politicians Baz will be doing the intros. Join us if you can - 12.30pm on Sat.
