At the Spring General Meeting in May, co-owners approved the creation of two schemes—one for the men’s first team and one for the women’s first team—to provide a way for supporters to make regular contributions towards a fund to support the playing budgets over the course of the season.

Wage inflation across non-league football in recent years has been well-reported, significantly impacting our competitiveness. We're delighted by the initiative shown by a group of our co-owners in proposing this scheme, and we’re pleased to launch it ahead of the new season.

All money raised through these schemes will be earmarked for the playing budgets of the men’s and women’s squads. For the first time ever, the board has approved a playing budget for the women's team, demonstrating our commitment to women’s football. On the men’s side, the recent signing of Adam Le Fondre illustrates our ambition on the pitch.

While these moves are steps in the right direction, we are realistic about the challenges ahead. Bridging the gap between ourselves and the resources available to other clubs requires continuous effort. The funds raised from these schemes will provide both Neil and Jennie with more flexibility to support new signings as needed.
