FC Juniors Rally to Support Missing Matches Campaign with £1,000 Donation

Members of the FC Juniors present first team manager Mark Beesley and board chair
Nick Boom with a cheque for £1,000 before yesterday's match against Workington.

The FC Juniors have once again shown their incredible commitment to the club by donating a generous £1,000 to the Missing Matches campaign. This impressive contribution, raised through proceeds from the matchday sweet stall and other events, provides another much-needed boost to the campaign.

The Missing Matches campaign is vital to bridging the financial gap created by postponed games and unexpected disruptions to the season. Saturday home matches are the backbone of non-league clubs like ours, bringing in essential funds and creating the matchday atmosphere we all love. This campaign is about keeping the club on solid ground through the winter months.

“The FC Juniors are a shining example of what makes this club special,” said Board Chair Nick Boom. “Their enthusiasm and dedication remind us why FC United is more than just a football club. It’s a community, driven by people who care.”

The Juniors have been at the heart of the club from the very beginning. On matchdays, they’re ever-present as ball crew, and their annual Christmas and Halloween parties—as well as the bowling day—are always a highlight for both Juniors and players alike. This latest gesture adds another chapter to their legacy of support.

“The Juniors are an integral part of the FC family,” said Chris Boulderstone. “Their donation shows how everyone can pull together to support the Missing Matches campaign. It’s fantastic to see their commitment alongside all the others who’ve contributed.”

A massive thank you goes to all the Juniors for their generous donation, which will make a real difference in helping the club stay on track this season.

The importance of the Missing Matches campaign was underlined yesterday following the news that our fixture against Warringtn Rylands on the 7th December will now be postponed following their progression in the FA Trophy, meaning that we now have just one home game between now and Christmas.

Let’s keep the momentum going! If you’d like to join the effort and support the Missing Matches campaign, you can donate, share the campaign, or get involved with fundraising. Every contribution counts towards keeping our club strong.
