As I sit in my usual match day spot overlooking the green grass, I’m pondering the last 12 months and trying to think of the words that describe this year. I have re-written this quite a few times as someone said to me, write it from the heart, so here we go….
Acceptance – I have to say a huge thank you to the members and fans, football isn’t an easy industry to work in, there are so many highs and lows! However, I feel you have accepted me and I cannot thank you enough.
Leadership – I was completely blown away when I was asked to be the CEO of the Club – thanks, this means a lot!
Challenge – I can’t say it has been easy and I don’t expect it to be, what I will say is that we do love a challenge at FC!
Happiness – 2pm or 3pm on a weekend – that’s all.
Community – My favourite part of this club. The possibilities are endless and we are only just getting started! We have been successful with a number of grants over the last three months which means we will have more sports camps, women and girls’ activities, recreational activities and a programme of social activities for older people. Our mission remains the same to drive education, social cohesion and community value.
Equality – I am and will always be incredibly passionate and focussed on this area of football.
I always believe in team work and success together, to date I am really proud of how we have performed;
Lastly, thank you to the whole team, on and off the field, let’s keep it going, we achieved this together in 12 months, what can we do in another 12?
Thanks
