Manchester Run - Details and Sponsorship Form

The Great Manchester Run is the largest 10K run in the UK. In the past few years it has quite often taken place on FA Cup Final weekend. This year it is on at 10am on Sunday morning on 18th May 2008.

The run starts in Manchester City centre and goes out to Old Trafford and Salford Quays and then finishes back in the City centre on Deansgate. It is a tremendous occasion with approximately 26,000 runners and thousands of spectators lining the course.

In the past 2 years a group of FC runners have run in FC shirts and have raised thousands of pounds for various charities.

For the 2008 race we now have the chance to focus on the needs of the Development Fund and hope to raise a large team to run together both for the fun of the occasion and to raise sponsorship for the DF. It also gives the opportunity to explain the ethos of FC United and how the club gets involved in community projects.

It is hoped that one or two of the players may also join us on the run.
