FC United of Manchester are pleased to announce that the Covid-19 Community Hub has received a grant of £2000 from Jigsaw Homes Group. Like FC United, Jigsaw Homes is a Community and Benefit Society organisation based in Ashton-under-lyne.
The work of the Hub has continued since the original lockdown in March, without the support of organisations such as Jigsaw, we would struggle to support the local community which at the peak involved supporting over two hundred people. The Hub is still supporting in excess of 50 households and continues to need funds to maintain this ongoing support.
On learning of the news, Vinny Thompson said:
“We are pleased to be in receipt of this generous grant from Jigsaw Homes. It will allow us to carry on the good work that the Hub and its volunteers have been doing for the last 4 months of the pandemic. Despite the easing of Covid restrictions, there are many households in
North Manchester who are still struggling. This will enable us to keep supporting them.”
During the time that the Hub has been running it has supported well over 100 households at a time of real need. If you are able to offer financial support or wish to volunteer
