Board Nominations - deadline approaching

Members who wish to stand for election to the board should notify the Club of their candidature no later than Friday 23 September 2011. Such notification to the Club must contain a summary, in no more than 400 words, of why you would like to be voted onto the FC United Board, and what you believe you have to offer the Club. You will also need to provide the standing member’s name, membership number, address and telephone number. Any members intending to stand for the board are urged to read Rules 61 to 71 of the Club’s Constitution.

The board have been informed that current board member Helen Goldsmith is stepping down due to time commitments.

Notifications of members standing for election to the Board, containing the information requested above, should be posted to the Club’s registered office at:

or sent by e-mail to: office@fc-utd.uk

to arrive by no later than Friday 23 September 2011, being 35 days before the date of the AGM.

The AGM will take place on Sunday 30th October 2011, at The Manchester College, Openshaw Campus, Ashton Old Road, Openshaw, Manchester, M11 2WH. However please note that if FC United progress in the FA Cup and are drawn at home then the AGM will take place on Saturday 29th October due to Bury FC’s fixtures.

All members will receive full format notification of the meeting no later than 21 days before the meeting.
