On Thursday 23rd July FC United visit Barnoldswick Town in a pre-season friendly, kick off 7.30pm. The match will be played at Barnoldswick’s ground:

By Car

From Preston (M6 Jct 31)
Turn onto the A59 (signpost Whalley).
Keep on this road past Whalley and Clitheroe and proceed through to Gisburn. Approximately 1 1/2 miles past Gisburn, still on the A59, turn right onto the B6251 for Barnoldswick. Keep on this road into Barnoldswick and approximately 100 yards after the houses start (the first cross road signpost) turn first left onto Greenberfield Lane, the ground is signposted from there.

From Colne (End of M65)
Turn first left at the roundabout at the end of the M65 (Boundary Mill roundabout) onto the A6068 Vivary Way. Travel through the next set of traffic lights and, at the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit keeping on the A6068, stay on this road (going through 1 pedestrian crossing and two sets of traffic lights) past Sainsbury’s on your right until you come to the next roundabout and turn left onto the A56 (signposted Skipton). Keep on this road, passing through Foulridge. Approximately 2 miles after Foulridge at the next roundabout turn first left onto the B6383 (signposted Barnoldswick) continue on this road into Barnoldswick, stay on this road going straight through traffic lights and pedestrian crossing (in the town) to a mini roundabout continue straight on (first exit) for approximately 1/2 a mile, then turn right (after the bungalow on the right) where the ground is signposted onto Greenberfield Lane, then first right on the lane, then sharp left and follow the road to the ground.

If using a Satnav, it may try to take you off the M65 at Nelson – DO NOT EXIT – travel to the end of the motorway at Colne.

Please Note 2
Satnavs have, in the past, tried to take vehicles, travelling from Colne, right at the mini roundabout in Barnoldswick - ignore it as it will take you to the other end of Greenberfield Lane and will entail driving down a narrow road.

From Skipton
Turn onto, or keep on the A59, follow the A59 until you come to a roundabout. There are two ways to the ground from here. The 1st is the take the 2nd exit on the roundabout keeping on the A59, follow it for approximately 2 miles then turn left onto the B6251 for Barnoldswick. Keep on this road into Barnoldswick and approximately 100 yards after the houses start (the first cross road signpost) turn 1st left onto Greenberfield Lane, the ground is signposted from there. The 2nd is to take the first exit on the roundabout onto the A56 towards Burnley. Travel approximately 2 miles into Thornton and at the top of the hill turn right onto the B6252, keep on this road for approximately 2 miles going past a Rolls-Royce plant on your right. If using a satnav, it will try to take you off to the right near the top of the hill, immediately after the Rolls Royce plant – DO NOT TURN OFF. Keep on into Barnoldswick until you come to a mini roundabout, turn right (second exit) for approximately 1/2 a mile, then turn right (after the bungalow on the right) where the ground is signposted onto Greenberfield Lane, then first right on the lane, then sharp left and follow the road to the ground.
