The club is aware of some issues around queueing times for both the SMRE and function room bars at our home match last Saturday.
CEO Natalie Atkinson has reviewed the situation and believes the problems arose as a result of limited staffing due to holidays and the challenges we are facing within the hospitality industry in recruiting staff, plus the length of time for card transactions to go through.
The card machine was taking up to one minute to complete transactions and staff cannot serve the next customer until the transaction has completed.
In light of this the club will trial new steps to address this at the home game next Tuesday against Nantwich:
Natalie said: “I know our supporters had problems with the bar service on Saturday which I’m sorry about, and I’m determined to put steps in place to address this.
“I hope having a cash option under the SMRE will help speed things up, together with the pre-poured half time pints. We’ll try to judge the number to pour while obviously attempting to avoid wastage.
“I hope this will help resolve the issues but either way I would welcome feedback from our supporters after the match on how this has gone.”
