ALTRINCHAM YOUTH 2 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 3
FC United of Manchester Youth gained a modicum of revenge for their recent FA Youth Cup exit at home to Altrincham Youth with this 3-2 away win against the same opposition in the Football Conference Youth Alliance at Clay Lane, Timperley on Wednesday afternoon.
On a sunny afternoon, midfielder Michael Jones opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a dipping volley that gave Altrincham’s ’keeper no chance, to give FC United a 1-0 interval lead,
Three minutes after the half-time break, Altrincham netted a close range equaliser with a goal from their No. 9 Mike Carcamo.
On 62 minutes, Jack Tinning calmly netted from the 12 yard spot after Keenan Tuck had been fouled inside the penalty area.
Two minutes later, Altrincham were back level at 2-2, when Mike Carcamo netted his second.
FC weren’t to be denied, however, and in the 74th minute, Sam Baird netted the winner when he poked the ball home from close range after latching on to a Jack Tinning free-kick.
