ALTRINCHAM FC u19s 2 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH TEAM 1
FC United of Manchester Youth will consider themselves a little unlucky to have returned home without any points following this narrow 1-2 away defeat against Altrincham FC u19s in the National League u19 Alliance 'H' Division at Moss Farm, Timperley on Wednesday afternoon.
This was after the Young Reds had taken a third minute lead. Yann Daryl Tchokotcheu's long range effort had rebounded off an upright, and ARLO BULLER was first to react as he steered the loose ball home.
Altrincham got themselves on level terms on 39 minutes when RYAN MORTON was able to bundle the ball home from close range before then taking the lead on 41 minutes when AMAAR HUSSAIN's low shot flashed past 'keeper Josh Brooks.
FC United almost drew level midway through the second half but were thwarted by a fine double save by Robins' 'keeper Ryan Forde as the home side held on for the win.
Next up for the Young Reds is an away trip to face Chorley FC u19s (West Way Sports Hub, Chorley - Wednesday 16th March 2022 - 1.45 p.m. KO).
