FC United of Manchester is committed to being a football club that provides a real social benefit to its community, and our Academy is central to that vision. The Academy offers young footballers aged 16–19 the chance to develop in a full-time football environment while gaining valuable qualifications and skills for their future.
Our home in Moston, north Manchester, provides excellent facilities including classrooms, gym and a full-size 3G pitch. The Academy is built on the belief that football can unlock potential – not just on the pitch, but in education, work, and life.
Looking ahead, we are preparing to relaunch the Academy in 2026/27 with a new education partner, ensuring our programme is stronger than ever. As a statement of intent, we are delighted to have appointed Adam Le Fondre as FC United Academy Head of Football, bringing a wealth of professional experience to inspire and guide our young players.
The relaunched Academy will continue to combine top-level coaching – delivered by UEFA-qualified staff – with a respected education pathway. Students will gain recognised qualifications, transferable skills, and clear progression routes into higher education, scholarships, and football opportunities.
If you are currently in Year 10 or 11 and would like to register your interest for the 2026/27 Academy intake, or would like further information please contact Adam Le Fondre adam.le.fondre@fc-utd.uk
