FC United of Manchester Academy (26/26 Intake)

FC United of Manchester is proud to relaunch its Academy for the 2026/27 season in partnership with The Manchester College, offering an exciting opportunity for young people to combine education with a full-time football experience.

Based at FC United’s home, Broadhurst Park in Moston, this two-year programme is designed for 16–19-year-olds who are passionate about football, sport and coaching, and want to develop both on and off the pitch.

A Unique Football & Education Experience

Delivered in a professional football environment, the Academy programme blends academic study with practical coaching and hands-on sporting experience. Students will train, learn and develop within a real club setting while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

This partnership ensures a high-quality education pathway alongside elite football development, giving learners the best of both worlds.

What You’ll Study

  • Exercise, Health and Lifestyle
  • Sports Coaching
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Fitness Training and Programming
  • Psychology for Sports Performance

  • Leadership in Sport
  • Technical and Tactical Skills in Sport

Learn in a Professional Club Environment

As part of the Academy, students will be fully immersed in the day-to-day environment of FC United of Manchester. This includes:

  • Training in a professional football setting
  • Gaining experience in coaching and community programmes
  • Supporting matchday and club operations
  • Developing practical skills valued across the sports industry
