Adam Dodd (26) is an attacking and aggressive left back who joins FC United having spent the last three and half years at Bamber Bridge.
Dodd was born in Kirkham and joined Blackpool at under-10 level. He progressed through the youth teams and signed a two-year scholarship in 2009. He signed a full-time professional contract at Blackpool in May 2011 following the completion of his scholarship.
Blackpool allowed Dodd to join National League North side Altrincham on a month’s loan where he made five league appearances. Upon his return to Blackpool he was again loaned out, this time to Scottish club Ayr United where he would go on to made 16 appearances, including a Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park in January 2012. He then joined Chorley in the summer of 2014 before joining Bamber Bridge in 2015.
Speaking of joining FC United. Dodd said, “It means everything to me to play for FC, I’ve come here because I want a new challenge, I want more success, which I had under Neil, winning the Doodson Cup and getting promotion to this league. I just want to keep going.”
