Manchester County FA has teamed up with Key 103’s Cash for Kids, Mission Christmas appeal and have asked the ’grassroots family’ in Greater Manchester to join them and support this fantastic initiative which works hard to ensure that every child has a toy at Christmas.
The statistics show that one in three children are living in poverty in Greater Manchester. This means there are children going to bed without a hot meal in a house without central heating. As Christmas approaches, 150,000 children in our city will not have a present to open on Christmas Day.
FC United is endorsing the campaign as it fits well with the club’s ethos and values in helping to tackle poverty in the Manchester area. We are therefore asking supporters to add one extra gift to their shopping list this Christmas. Cash for Kids will ensure this gift makes its way to a child not expecting a visit from Santa this Christmas.
We are looking for new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0 to 18 years. Unfortunately we’re unable to take donations of used toys.
Gifts can be dropped off at Broadhurst Park during office hours until Tuesday 15th December 2015.
