In November 2022 we issued a ‘Save our Programme!’ call to supporters. The call cited the losses the programme was making – which were first highlighted back in 2017/18 – and asked for the backing of supporters to ensure the match day edition moved to a more financially stable base. This season the programme has by and large been turning a profit, down to the dedication of contributors, volunteers and those who buy a copy!
In November 2022 the club issued a ‘Save our Programme!’ call to supporters. The call cited the losses the programme was making – which were first highlighted back in 2017/18 – and asked for the backing of supporters to ensure the match day edition moved to a more financially stable base.
This season the programme has by and large been turning a profit and making a contribution to club funds, down to the dedication of those who put it together, the match going fans pay their £3 every week and our army of volunteers who give up their pre-match time on a regular basis to ensure fellow reds can pick up their copy on a match day – thank you!
Our postponed games made December a difficult month for the programme, with late postponements coming after editions have been printed. If you are able to support the programme, please purchase a copy from this season via the club shop and let’s ensure it stays on a stable financial footing: https://fcumshop.co.uk/collections/programmes?page=4
In addition, for this weekend’s Friendly vs Stalybridge Celtic the programme stall will be open with back issues from the 2023/24 season on sale. If you usually spend £3 on a programme, please do so as usual on Saturday and let’s ensure the programme stays on a sound financial footing. Also, this season our programmes have tokens in each edition and come the end season those who have collected 20 or more of these tokens will be entered into a draw for a number of great prizes – more here!
