Digital ticketing trial
For this fixture we are trialing a digital ticketing system courtesy of JustTikit. Match tickets can be purchased in advance using the JustTikit platform and those fans who take part in the trial will be entered into our Pound for the Ground half-time draw with a complimentary ticket. The greater the number who use the ticketing system, the greater our understanding of whether the system would sufficiently carry out our ticketing and match day operations to the level expected by our club and supporters. More info here.
Former Players Association
As we head towards the run-in of our 19th season, we are delighted to announce that we will be launching the FC United of Manchester Former Players Association at Sunday’s game. Since 2005 we have evolved from a club born out of protest into one which has become an embedded community partner in North Manchester and a leader in the supporter-ownership movement.
Throughout our near two-decade existence the bond between the players and the terraces has ensured FC is a unique club to support and play for. On the day we will welcome in a number of former players to celebrate the huge contribution they have made to our club – from those initial heroes who stormed up the leagues in the first couple of seasons, to the more recent fan-favourites of recent years, this really is a special event, so stay behind after the game for a drink, chat, reminisce and a celebration of our history!

Broadhurst Park
If it’s your first visit to FC United of Manchester we hope you’ll have a great experience visiting our ground, we’re certainly very proud of it – it’s the UK's first new ground to be built and funded by a supporter-owned football club! Covered on all sides, with standing and seating in the Main Stand (south) and with a large and expansive standing area in the SMRE Stand (east) our home shows what can be achieved when football fans with a vision work together and make things happen.
There are dedicated smoking areas within our ground – in the 4 corners of the ground. Please refrain from smoking outside of these designated areas. Drinks purchased from any of our bars can be taken onto the terraces/to your seat, however, to conform with the club’s General Safety Certificate / licensing regulations glasses, cans and bottles MUST NOT be taken out any of the bars.
Food & Drink
We have several food and drink outlets throughout the ground, all of which open from 1pm:
Main Bar - Large bar overlooking the pitch from the Main Stand. Food is available: Yorkshire pudding filled with a selection of Sunday dinner fillings and gravy. The Main Bar will remain open after the game as we will be launching our Former Players Association – there will be an abundance of former heroes in attendance, so make sure you stay for a few drinks after the game as we commemorate the huge contribution they have made to our history.
SMRE Bar - Located underneath the large terrace end (Saint Mary's Road End). Walls are adorned with FCUM and MUFC memorabilia. Includes the Real Ale Bar which is staffed by volunteers and showcases a varying selection of small breweries, this week we have TBC. Please note the SMRE Bar will close once play resumes for the second half.
Match entry and food special – For this game we are running a special offer priced at £25:
Kaz Bar - Located underneath the Main Stand and serves a selection of lager, IPA and cider. Please note this bar will accept card payments only. Food is available: pies, peas, vegetarian samosas, crisps, snacks, soft drinks & hot drinks.

Course You Can Malcom
CYCM is FC United's 'club night in the afternoon' and takes place under the SMRE pre-match on most Saturdays. If you haven’t been before you can find more information here.
It was only this morning that plans for this Sunday’s much-beleaguered CYCM almost came crashing down around their heads in a the pitch is water-logged for that game in the FENIX Trophy against a team that has come all the way from Krakow, Poland kind of way. Basically, the comic informed them he couldn’t do it. He claimed it wasn’t because he forgot Mothers’ Day, but we reckon differently.
However, praise the Earth Mother herself, as they’ve now been presented a replacement turn comprising at least five very familiar comedians. The Fabulous Baguley Brothers, Dave Birch, Phil Marsh and Michael Norton. Yes, the launch of the FC United of Manchester Former Players Association, means that there will now be an onstage Q&A with a bevvy of former FC stars. And best of all, YOU get to set the questions. Those sent in by 3pm on Saturday will be put into a great big box ready to be randomly selected and asked by the yet-to-be-found compere. To take part you can e-mail courseyoucanmalcolm@gmail.com, or respond to the posts on the ‘ficial forum, The Soul is One, @malcolmses on Twitter and Instagram.
Not content with that treat, there is the return of one of our favourite acts, The 99 Degree. Having previously appeared when Malcolmses was sleeping on the couch in The Main Stand Bar, @The99Degree are making their debut on The Caring Stage, the perfect place for their self-styled sleazy mix of Surf, Punk, Psychobilly and 60’s Garage, Spaghetti Western soundtracks and outsider Country and Blues. Or to put it another way, any band that cites The Mummies, The Cramps, The TVPs, Tav Falco and various other losers as influences is going to tear it right on up. Like last week’s band, @misterstraaange , The 99 Degree are using this as an opportunity to test drive some raucous new material. So come on up and have a real good time.
Getting down to basics now. It’s clear that we’re not going to see some of you as you’ll be taking your Mum out for the day. That’s cool, but for those who will be there it’s probably worth knowing that there will be genuinely limited pies for sale. Sunday portions. Pie fans need to get down early. The resident CYCM muffin-maker has also been bitten by the Mothers’ Day bug, meaning that they’ve had to get a muffin amanuensis in to carry on her Good Works. Except he can’t cook, so has promised to bring along some pierogies / polish pastries. From Chester. Więc zejdź wcześnie.
So, the line-up is FC Legends™ at 13.35, The 99 Degree at 14.05, FENIX Days at 15.00.
Club Shop
Our club shop will be open before the game and for 20 minutes after full time. We have a great selection of items on sale – playing shirts, training kit, books, badges, prints and more! View our online store here.
