FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’B’ team went out of the ECFA Men’s Knockout Trophy at the Second Round stage following a 0-7 away defeat against Macclesfield Football Academy Men’s 1sts at All Hallows Catholic College on Wednesday afternoon.

After conceding an opening goal after just three minutes, the Young Reds found themselves four goals down at half-time.

Matters scarcely improved in the second half as the home side registered three more goals to make the final score 7-0.
