FC United Youth completed a home and away league "double" in the Football Conference Youth Alliance with this 3-1 home league win against Farsley Celtic Youth on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon.
But they had to do it the hard way after coming back from a goal down on 10 minutes; this after the visitors’ Liam Assalone had shot home from 6 yards out through a crowded home goal area.
On 24 minutes, FC United Youth grabbed an equaliser when Cameron Horner fired home a Jack Tinning left wing cross.
Just four minutes later, Cameron Horner added his second when he latched onto a Will Shawcross through-ball before blasting past the Farsley goalkeeper.
And on 68 minutes, Mason Davies made the game safe when he headed home a Will Shawcross corner kick.
Substitute Jack Ward picked up a second yellow card in the dying seconds, but there was to be no way back for Farsley.
FC United Youth’s next FCYA fixture is their home League Cup quarter-final against Guiseley AFC Youth on Wednesday 10th February - K.O. 2.00 p.m.).
