FC United Youth recorded a 5-1 away win at Throstle Nest against Farsley Celtic Youth on Wednesday afternoon in their latest Football Conference Youth Alliance League Division I game.
Charlie Sykes opened the scoring for the visitors on 7 minutes with a close range header before Sam Hadfield-Summerbee made it 2-0 on 22 minutes with a low shot from the right side of the park.
And on the half-hour mark, Charlie Sykes added his second after the Farsley ’keeper had failed to hold onto a Zachary Cooper free-kick.
Into the second half, and Charlie Sykes netted his hat-trick goal on 54 minutes when he got on to the end of a Michael Jones free-kick.
Home centre-half Jack Atkinson headed home from a corner on 82 minutes to briefly reduce the deficit to make it 1-4, before Cameron Horner restored FC’s four goal advantage with a crisply taken shot just three minutes before the final whistle.
