FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’A’ team opened their AoC Sport North West Championship Invitation (East) league programme with a 3-3 home draw against PDA Lancashire Men’s 1sts on Wednesday morning.
The Young Reds had to come back from two goals down as the visitors took the lead on 34 minutes and then went further in front on 39 minutes.
ZAID BAROUDA reduced the arrears for the home side with a close range header on 53 minutes, before equalising on 61 minutes with an almost identical effort.
PDA Lancashire looked to have won the game when they re-took the lead on 68 minutes, but there was still time for ELLIS O’REILLY to snatch a late equaliser direct from an in-swinging free-kick with just four minutes remaining.
The FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team are back in action with a trip to AFC Fylde Men’s 2nds on Wednesday 3rd October 2018. (Mill Farm 3G, KO 2 pm).
