CITY OF LIVERPOOL YOUTH 0 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 3
FC United of Manchester Youth progressed to the next round of the National League u19 Alliance League Cup competition with this 3-0 First Round away win against City of Liverpool Youth at Kirkby Leisure Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
MAX LEWENS opened the scoring for the Young Reds on just 85 seconds when he intercepted a loose ball and sped away before planting his shot into the back of the home net.
Unlike the recent FA Youth Cup match between the same two teams, this time FC United were able to hold on to their lead.
On 59 minutes, the visitors went 2-0 up. A mazy run by Max Lewens found ABDUL MUKTADIR nicely placed and the young winger made no mistake from just inside the penalty area.
City of Liverpool came close to pulling one back on 66 minutes with a rasping shot that hit the crossbar before bouncing down and clear.
ABDUL MUKTADIR made sure of the result when he latched on to a ball by Dillon Kirkman to make the final score 3-0.
The draw for the second round will be announced on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 with ties being played on Wednesday 7th November 2018.
