Match Report

FC United women came back from Merseyside, the temporary home of Chorley Women due to te he recent stormy weather, with a hard earned point in their battle to stay in the FA Women's Premier League Division One North.
The Reds, with James Mulvihill taking charge in the absence through illness of team manager Tom Fitton, got off to the perfect start with Olivia Smith scoring just 25 seconds into the match. However expectations soon had to be tempered as the Magpies levelled through Ellie Cleary midway through the first half. A close fought battle ensued. Chorley will particularly rue the fact that they didn't make better use of their opportunities but most onlookers would agree that a draw was a fair enough result.

The major concern for FC United though will be the sight of recent returnee Jordon Bailey being carried from the field late in the game with what appeared to be another bad knee injury.
