FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’A’ team progressed through to the quarter-finals of the season 2017-2018 Greater Manchester Schools FA Under 18s County Cup competition following this 5-1 away win against Cheadle and Marple College, in a match switched to the Curzon Ashton 3G on Wednesday afternoon.
The Young Reds opened the scoring after 11 minutes when NIALL WEBB netted after being played in by Saem Son.
On 17 minutes, Cheadle and Marple College equalised, just two minutes after having squandered the chance to do so from the penalty spot.
The FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team went back in front on 23 minutes when Callum Kinney played the ball wide to Niall Webb who centred from the right for SAEM SON to score.
In the second half, and FC United extended the lead on 57 minutes when TEMI OROPO combined with Sam Iwegbu before scoring from twelve yards out.
On 73 minutes, it was 4-1 when ABDUL MUKTADIR ran through the Cheadle and Marple defence before converting easily.
And the scoring was completed in the final minute when substitute SAM IWEGBU netted after good team play during the build up.
