Youth in back-to-back semis

FC United’s youth team continue their quest for an incredible treble with the first of two back-to-back cup semi-finals this Sunday.

First up it’s Swinton Boys in the Manchester FA Youth Cup at St Brides with kick off at 2pm and it’s free for supporters to attend.

Peter Freakes’ side are gunning for glory in three competitions. They are currently third in the league with four games in hand over leaders Curzon Ashton and they play Woodley Sports in the semi-final of the Neil Thomason Memorial Cup next Sunday after brushing aside Altrincham 4-0 in the last round three weeks ago.

Freakes said: "We’re just taking one game at a time but the lads are playing really well as a team so we are in confident mood. It would be great to see a few more supporters down at St Brides to cheer them on - everyone is always welcome."??
