You know them as players, now meet them as co-owners!

FC United of Manchester are delighted to announce that our Men’s Team players, management and backroom staff have recently joined the supporter-ownership cause. Proudly holding their membership cards in the image below, the players are delighted to become FCUM co-owners and further strengthen our voice within the game.

That special connection between players and fans has been a real highlight of fan-ownership over these past 18 years and shows no sign of coming to an end. With the Premier League moving ever further away from the supporters and communities it serves, supporter-owned clubs are reinforcing that special bond between the pitch and the terraces. Whether it’s attending branch meetings, recording best wishes messages to fellow FCUM fans on their big day, signing up to Fund the Foundations or having a post-match drink with supporters in the bar, our strength as a club is one which lies in our big FC Family.

Captain Charlie Ennis had this to say about joining the supporter-ownership movement, “Co-ownership makes this club unique and special – it makes us all feel a part of something! Whether you’re a player, member of staff, fan or volunteer, everyone contributes to our club and is appreciated throughout.

“As captain it’s an honour to represent this club every time we walk out on to the pitch. From where it’s come from, to where it wants to be – we are a club doing things the right way with the right ethos, to have me as one of its leaders is a great honour.”

With our AGM coming up, co-ownership gives a raft of benefits: elect the club’s board, vote on resolutions & members’ votes and choose the design of new playing shirts – to name just a few!
