As a Women’s Team Recruitment Analyst intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the first-team and contribute to the development of our club on and off the pitch.

Who We Are: FC United of Manchester, founded in 2005, is a renowned supporter-owned football club based in Manchester. Operating on a not-for-profit basis and democratically run by its members, FC United is deeply rooted in its community. The club proudly plays its home matches at the 4,400 capacity Broadhurst Park stadium, constructed by its dedicated members in May 2015. Currently competing in the North West Women’s Regional Football League – Premier Division, Tier 5 of the Women’s English football pyramid, FC United is committed to promoting inclusivity and excellence in women's football.

As a Women’s Team Recruitment Analyst intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the first-team and contribute to the development of our club on and off the pitch. This internship is unpaid, but it offers invaluable experience, mentorship, and support, with the potential to positively influence the future of our club.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a leading role in the Club’s talent identification process.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with local women’s clubs.
  • Work closely with the Head of Women’s football.
  • Ensure excellent collaboration and communication exists between all roles of the department.
  • Attend at least one assigned match per week.
  • Contribute to the identification of potential talent in line with club KPIs.
  • Liaise with the Head of Women’s football and Head of Analysis regarding recruitment needs.

Person Specification:

  • Studying an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Sports Coaching/Analysis/Studies or similar.
  • Based in the North-West of England – covering either Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Lancashire.
  • Passionate about women’s football and driving positive change within football.
  • Reliable, dedicated, with a flexible working approach.
  • Naturally inquisitive.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to see a task through to its conclusion.
  • Happy to attend a minimum of one match a week and commit to the full 2024/25 season.
  • Access to transport, or ability to get to assigned matches.
