Welcome Damian Chadwick, FC United's new CEO

We are delighted to welcome Damian Chadwick as FC United’s new Chief Executive Officer, who takes up the position today.

We are delighted to welcome Damian Chadwick as FC United’s new Chief Executive Officer, who takes up the position today (7th November).



Damian, a founder member of FC United, previously worked as Venue Controller at the Macron Stadium, the home of Bolton Wanderers. Damian worked at Bolton as a senior manager for nine and a half years and in his current role since 2013 has been responsible for managing the year round operation of the stadium and the adjacent Bolton Arena.

Damian explains “After resigning from my role at BWFC three months ago I’ve been itching to get started and finally today has arrived which feels great. I look forward to working with everyone and I’m confident we can move the club forward into the next chapter in the clubs short illustrious history???

One of Damian’s favourite FC United moments came in December 2006 in our FA Vase clash against Quorn, when nine red shirted heroes very nearly pulled off a famous victory. Of the occasion Damian said "Perhaps for the first time, we really began to understand what it felt to be FC that day"

Board member, Peter Thwaites said of Damian "He exactly fits the profile of the type of person that the board were looking for; he has considerable commercial, financial and facilities management experience, strong leadership qualities and, to top it all, a strong Manchester United and FC United pedigree".

Indeed it is quite a coup for the club for someone of this calibre from within its own ranks to step up into the Chief Executive role. A reminder, once again, that our very own members are our greatest asset.
