Supporters will, of course, remember Charlie from his spell on loan with us from Bolton Wanderers last season, going on to make twenty appearances, opening his scoring account for the club in a 2-1 win at Basford United in December 2024.
Charlie was signed by FC Halifax Town in March 2025, and after spending time on loan at Leek Town and Ashton United (where he grabbed a last-gasp equaliser against Hyde United in the Boxing Day derby) this season, Mark Beesley made the move to snap up the 21-year-old on a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season.
On returning to Manchester, Charlie said:
"I’m buzzing to be back at Broadhurst Park, I loved every minute of my time here last season, all the players and staff are great people and I think it’s the perfect place for me to continue my development as a player and a person.
Charlie's signing is subject to final approvals from the FA and NPL, but we anticipate he will be available for selection for Saturday's trip to Leek.
