We're looking to recruit a Volunteer Kit Assistant to support our men's first team by transporting matchday equipment to and from away fixtures where the squad travels individually rather than by team coach.

Become part of the FC United of Manchester First Team Backroom Team!
This is an important operational role. You'll work closely with our Kit Manager, Joe Winskill, helping ensure the team has everything it needs on matchdays.
Like every part of FC United, our first-team operation relies on the commitment and dedication of volunteers. This role makes a genuine contribution to the club while supporting our supporter-owned ethos.
The role includes:
- Transporting the team's matchday equipment (kit bags, footballs, water bottles, medical equipment, coats and other essential items).
- Helping load your vehicle at Broadhurst Park before departure.
- Assisting with unloading, setting up and packing away equipment at away fixtures.
- Returning the equipment to Broadhurst Park after the match.
You'll need:
- To be aged 18 or over.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Access to a reasonably sized vehicle.
- To be reliable, organised and punctual.
- To be comfortable working as part of a closeknit backroom team.
- To understand the importance of confidentiality.
- To be willing to undergo a DBS check if required.
What you'll receive:
This is a voluntary role and no payment is made.
You'll also receive admission to the away fixtures where you're volunteering in this role, as you'll need access to the stadium before, during and after the match to transport, set up and remove the team's equipment.
There will also be opportunities to help with kit duties at home matches and away fixtures where the team travels by coach.
The role is available immediately, with the first fixture being this Friday, 24 July 2026, away at Southport.
