Unveiling the FC United Christmas Market 2023: A Festive Extravaganza

We are delighted to introduce the FC United Christmas Market 2023 – a special festive fundraising event organised jointly by Fund the Foundations – a fan-led fundraising group, and CYCM. The Market will kick off at 12:30 in the SMRE this Saturday at Broadhurst Park before the Stafford Rangers game. Please remember to bring some cash if you are hoping to participate in any of the fun.

Stall

At the heart of the Market is a stall selling some exclusive FC United merchandise (produced for this event), mulled wine, mince pies and other wares including our very own Andy Davies’ “The Gangs of Manchester” book.

Silent Auction

Also on the stall there will be a silent auction, with the opportunity to bid on some special prizes. The prizes will include the opportunity to pick the half time music, a signed shirt, an opportunity to train with the first team, and an opportunity to be kitman for the day.

Raffle

Open to both attendees on the day and participants on the online forums, there will also be a raffle, at £1 a ticket which is a bargain to be in with a chance to win some of the amazing prizes we have on the stall. The prizes include a special FC United memorabilia hamper, a Christmas treats food hamper, a bottle of whiskey, the opportunity to choose the half time music playlist, a box of Christmas chocolates, a signed Fenix Trophy final poster and a signed team photo (2022/23 season). Quiz

An exciting quiz with £5 per team entry will take place at CYCM on the day, from 1.45-2.15pm. Make sure you’re there early. There will be festive themed rounds as well as football themed rounds. Teams can be up to 5 people, so round up your mates and get in the ground early to take part. The winners will take away a bottle of whiskey, so it’s all to play for!

Reno and the squad festive fun

We will have a special appearance at CYCM from Reno and the squad, from 1.15-1.45pm. Our young social media star Alfie will be on stage to do some festive fun, as we find out the squad’s festive preferences in a live This or That (as seen on TikTok).

Live Music

It wouldn’t be a CYCM without some entertainment, we are delighted to have Kitty to play some music for us on Saturday. Her set is from 2.15pm onwards, following the quiz. Make sure you get down early to enjoy some live music and a drink with your friends and look out for the CYCM preview later in the week for more details about our wonderful act!

Real Ale

As always our wonderful Cask Ale bar volunteers have been busy ordering ales for us, check back for the guest ales!
