United Against Racism: Community Comes Together at FC United of Manchester
FC United of Manchester would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who came together on Saturday 17 January for our fixture against Warrington Town, standing united to share a powerful message: there is no room for racism or discrimination in football or in our community of Moston.
The match was more than just a game. It was a strong show of solidarity, with supporters, players, volunteers and community partners coming together to reinforce the values that FC United stands for. The display of togetherness sent a clear and visible message that football should be a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of race, background or identity.
We were proud to support the ongoing work of Kick It Out and to highlight the importance of challenging racism and discrimination both inside and outside the game. Moments like these remind us that football has the power to bring people together and to drive positive change within our wider community.
A special thank you goes to all members of the Community Committee, whose dedication and commitment help ensure that inclusion and respect remain at the heart of the club. Their work continues to strengthen the bond between FC United and the people of Moston.
We would also like to thank our partners from the North Manchester Partnership and Manchester City Council Hate Crime Team for standing with us, offering support, and helping to raise awareness about tackling hate crime and discrimination. Their presence and involvement showed how strong partnerships can make a real difference at grassroots level.
Finally, thank you to every supporter who attended the game, engaged in conversations, and proudly shared the message on the day. Your support matters, and together we continue to show that FC United of Manchester is a club for everyone.
Football is for all. Our community is for all. And together, we will always stand against racism and discrimination.
