Transfer news : Regan Linney

We have accepted an undisclosed fee for the transfer of Regan Linney to Altrincham Football Club.

Regan's performances for the club have been attracting attention particularly over the course of 2022 where he scored 38 goals and had 22 assists, and as a result has attracted attention from higher up the pyramid.

We have always made it clear that while we cherish our best players, if the right offer came in for one and met our criteria, then we would not stand in their way, especially if it gives them the opportunity to play full-time football.

Regan has been a fantastic player for FC, with 61 goals in 133 competitive appearances, and this season scoring an average three goals every four games. 

Manager Neil Reynolds said: "Regan has been an amazing servant for the club and will be hugely missed, not only on the pitch but also off it, where we have seen him grow over the last three and a half years into a mature individual, and a leader."

Naturally FC United members will want to know more details about the transfer fee, any sell-on clauses and how the fee will be used. These details are not yet for public disclosure, as agreed by both clubs.
