Tournament for Mehdi this Sunday

On Sunday 30th January 1-5pm at Manchester Communication Academy our friends at Inter Mancunia are hosting a 5-aside solidarity football tournament to raise the profile of Mehdi’s situation and celebrate his contributions to grassroots football in the city.

Teams from across Manchester are playing alongside Mehdi’s team Omid FC and Supporters teams from FC United Manchester to show their support for the fight to keep Mehdi at home, safe and alive in Manchester.

The tournament will take place 1-5pm with Cup and Sheild competitions and trophies for the winning sides. We have had an amazing response from interested teams from across the city but there are still room for a few more...

Of course we would like as many people down there as possible, so if you want to show show your support for this deserving cause, we’ll see you down there. And if anyone fancies helping out with the running of the day, then all help will be welcome.

The more people we can get there, the more the authorities may start to listen.
