FC United of Manchester is pleased to announce that The Quirky Catering Company will become the club’s official catering partner in a new four-year partnership agreement.
As part of the club’s commitment to improving the match day experience for supporters and also ensuring the long-term sustainability of our football club we have teamed up with the family-owned Rochdale-based company who will provide all the club’s catering at Broadhurst Park on match days and non-match days. The Quirky Catering Company are experienced in catering for football clubs – they are also catering suppliers to Oldham Athletic and Rochdale AFC – and the award of the four-year contract follows a detailed tender process.
The partnership agreement has already begun and on match days supporters are able to enjoy a tasty menu at affordable prices including regular specials. In addition, all of the food is locally sourced and will be served in environmentally friendly and sustainable packaging. Similarly on non-match days, The Quirky Catering Company will provide food for all functions and events at Broadhurst Park, offering a variety of menus to suit the occasion.
This long term partnership will also see The Quirky Catering Company invest in upgrading the existing catering kiosks at Broadhurst Park and installing new signage, equipment, tills, and staff uniforms.
FC United’s Chief Executive Officer Natalie Atkinson said: “This new catering partnership with The Quirky Catering Company is another milestone in delivering our ambitious three-year business plan and ensuring the future sustainability of the football club. Outsourcing our catering has allowed the club to save significant costs and ensure our catering is profitable. I am delighted to welcome The Quirky Catering Company to the club and look forward to us working together”.
And FC United board member Warren Heppolette said: “Outsourcing the club’s catering provision is a major stride in delivering an exciting and vibrant food offering at Broadhurst Park and feedback from fans and visitors has been incredibly positive.
