On Sunday 12th July come and join us at FC United’s Broadhurst park as a team of FC Legends take on a team of celebs for an unbelievable game of football to celebrate the life and legacy of Manchester uncrowned boxing champion Len Johnson.
Len Johnson was a professional boxer and civil rights activist, yet denied the right to compete for the British title simply because of the colour of his skin.
This event will help raise more crucial funds towards the statue of Len Johnson and a step closer towards the £150,000 target to get this statue over the line.
For the game you can expect to see some of the UKs biggest influencers actors , musicans, premiere leauge footballers ex pro boxers and over 20 FC United Legends.
This event is all about celebrating local black history & sending a clear anti racist message whilst honouring a true Mancunian unsung sporting hero in Len Johnson.
