THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT - ANNUAL YOUTH TAKEOVER DAY

Our game against Warrington Town on 12th September sees the return of our annual Youth Takeover Day at Broadhurst Park.

It's one of the highlights of our calendar – a day dedicated to putting our brilliant young members and the organisations behind them firmly in the spotlight.

From matchday announcements to pitch-side reporting, our young people will be taking the reins across the ground for the day. Listen out for new voices coming through on the PA, watch for eager young reporters grabbing a word with the manager, and keep an eye out for junior volunteers pitching in behind the scenes — all bringing the energy and imagination that make our youth community such a joy to be around.

Half-time will see our Community Parade take to the pitch, giving fans the perfect opportunity to show their appreciation for the local clubs and groups doing so much for our community. As they take their lap of honour, let's make sure they know just how valued they are.

So bring the noise, bring your support, and join us in celebrating our talented young people and the people who back them every step of the way!

Calling all Youth Members

If you fancy getting stuck in and showing off your skills on the day, take a look at the roles below and see what catches your eye. Get in touch with Chris Boulderstone if you'd like to take part!

Roles available on the day:

  • Assisting the PA Team with the team announcements, substitutions and half-time draw announcements.
  • Joining James and Paul for the live matchday radio broadcast.
  • Joining Joe and Alfie from the Kit Team to help with the team's pre-match preparation.
  • Joining Peter Gleeve in welcoming the hospitality guests. We are also thinking the youth member involved in this could dress smartly for the role.
  • Shadowing club photographer Lewis McKenna during the match.
  • Joining the Course You Can Malcolms team for the pre-match entertainment and helping to announce the acts.
  • Joining Dan Atkinson to help with the matchday social media posting across the club's social media channels.
  • Taking part in the post-match manager interview and helping with the Man of the Match presentation.

These positions are available to all current members who are over the age of 8. Please get in touch with Chris if you’d like to get involved/ help your child to register. We’d love to have you on board.

See you there!
