Our Bars Manager, Joanne Burtonwood, will be semi-retiring from September, bringing a new chapter to an incredible journey with FC United that began on day one.
Jo has been at the heart of the club since its formation and, since Broadhurst Park opened its doors in 2015, has proudly served as our landlady and led our bars operation at countless home matches.
From men’s and women’s fixtures to functions, events and everything in between, Jo and her team have been a constant presence at the stadium. Over the years, she has helped create the welcoming, friendly atmosphere that makes Broadhurst Park feel like home for so many supporters.
And while Jo might be stepping back from the day-to-day demands of running the bars, thankfully she isn't going anywhere.
She will continue to work across both men’s and women’s match days as Bars Manager, meaning supporters will still see the familiar face behind the bar and, hopefully, Jo will be able to enjoy match days with a little less stress!
Jo is hugely popular with our supporters and is adored by the staff she has led over the years. Her passion, dedication, hard work and commitment to FC United have been immense, and she has played a significant part in making the club what it is today.
Everyone at FC United would like to put on record our enormous thanks to Jo for everything she has given to the club.
After so many years of early starts, late finishes, busy match days and the countless challenges that come with running our bars, it is time for Jo to enjoy a little more family time, holidays and relaxation — while still enjoying the football she loves.
We wish Jo all the very best for her semi-retirement and look forward to seeing her at Broadhurst Park for many more years to come.

As part of the change, the role of Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) will be undertaken by the club’s General Manager, Frances Fielding.
