Sunday social and Q&A with the FC United women's team
FC United’s women’s team play their first ever competitive game at home on Sunday 4 October 2015 with a match against Ellesmere Port Town on the Broadhurst Park 3G pitch. The match, which kicks off at 2pm, will be followed at 4.30pm by a Sunday Social and Q&A event in the main strand bar at the ground which will give supporters the chance to meet the squad and backroom staff in relaxed surroundings over a few drinks.
The event will also see the inaugural presentation of the Frankland Cup, a trophy donated by the late FC member Tony Frankland in honour of his grandfather who was manager of the famous Dick, Kerr’s Ladies women’s team. The trophy will be awarded annually to a member of the FC women’s team who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in sport.
Supporters attending the FC United members’ meeting earlier that day are encouraged to attend the women’s team game and the social event. The bar will be open from 1pm so there is the opportunity to make an afternoon of it and come to the women’s game which is their first home league match since being promoted to the North West Women’s Regional League Division 1 South.
It’s free entry to both the match and the Sunday Social event so please try and come along to show your support for our women’s team.
