Statement regarding stewarding at Broadhurst Park

The board and CEO Natalie Atkinson are aware of a number of issues this season at Broadhurst Park in relation to stewarding.

In particular there were incidents involving our own supporters during our match on Bank Holiday Monday against Radcliffe. There were clearly aspects to some of the stewarding that fell short of our expectations and those of our supporters.

Natalie is working with Health & Safety Officer Steve Clarke to review his match report including all the incidents, together with other feedback/complaints from previous games.

To make sure they have a full and clear picture, we are asking supporters to submit any further observations or complaints as soon as possible so these can be included in the review.

Please email any comments to natalie.atkinson@fc-utd.net

The board and Natalie wish to make it clear we want Broadhurst Park to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable ground for all supporters to visit.

Once a full review has been completed, we will publish an update for supporters on next steps and any changes to be implemented. We plan on this being a comprehensive reset to include a range of improvements that can be made.

We expect to share this with co-owners and supporters during September and we ask fans to please be patient while we complete this process.

In the meantime we will be working with all stewards at Broadhurst Park to remind them of their responsibilities towards people in the ground.
